The function of the Historic Environment Record

The Historic Environment Record is a valuable source of information for anyone interested in the past landscapes of south west Wales and the people who inhabited them. We deal with many types of enquiry including those from people living locally, visitors to the area, students and local interest groups The HER also plays a very important role in assisting with the management and presentation of the historic landscape and is used on a daily basis by individuals, organisations and local authorities to assess the archaeological implications of proposed developments in the area.
